My family is a big part of my business. My family helps out when they can -- many times all of us are in here on a Saturday afternoon. Some of the best times with my kids, niece and nephew are in the shop explaining how an engine works and working on our muscle cars or snowmobiles and telling my kids  that someday thay might be in here with their kids.   Connor likes to work with the welding equipment and at 14 he is darn good, I love to teach him.   Or with my wife Amy who works her tail off making sure customers are happy and coming back.  Logan at just about 17 is so knowledgable with vehicles now that he will probably run this shop someday.  Don't get me wrong -- we like to snowmobile, go to the drag strip, Visit Florida and race our cars as well! But a lot of special times come from just being in the same place at the same time -- and lots of times that happens at the business. The Shop is a major part of this family and we all work hard to make sure it runs smoothly for our customers.

Our Business

Jeff's Auto didn't start out as a bang, in fact it came from alot of hard work and sweat on the part of the shop's owner, Jeff Besthoff.   After  working for an A1 standard gas station for about a year and a half ,  pumping gas and running around doing odds and ends.  Jeff went on to Trade School at Lincoln Tech and graduated as an ASE Master Certified Technician Top in his class. Recieving some of the highest grades ever at Lincoln Technical School.  After graduating Jeff opened a shop in 1993 in Algonquin Illinois, at which time he did very well and worked very hard and eventually needed more space.  In the year 2000 Jeff  moved to his current location in Lake in The Hills which is twice the size as the last shop.  The shop has been growing ever since. 

Who We Are

Jeff also drag race's his 1965 Malibu SS at Great Lakes Dragway and Byron Drag strip and he just recently built a new engine for his car (582).  We all can't wait to see what numbers it will pull .  He bought his wife a 1965 malibu SS also and built an engine for her also (496 strocker).  Maybe you will see the cars at some of the local car shows during the summer s in North Western  Illinois.   Hope to see you there!!
